Job summary

Citi Equities Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of an ultra-low-latency risk engine for cash equities, integrating with the Centralised Position Service and Market Access layers.

The role combines hands-on development in Java/C++ with leadership responsibilities, mentoring engineers and coordinating across global delivery centers to achieve microsecond-level performance and high reliability.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience in latency-sensitive systems.
• Experience in real-time risk management for trading systems is highly desirable.
• Strong background in distributed, low-latency architectures and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ultra low-latency risk engine components in cash equities trading.
• Lead and mentor engineers across onshore/offshore locations; drive architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with product, research, infrastructure and QA teams to ensure low latency and reliability.
