Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant in Trauma with a strong interest in pelvic trauma surgery. The role is based at the Coventry site within one of four orthopaedic trauma teams and includes leadership in complex cases and joint operating; mentorship and on-call duties are part of the package.

The successful applicant will help develop trauma pathways, manage multiply injured patients, and contribute to the department's ongoing growth and research

Qualifications

• Must be a Consultant with a major interest in orthopaedic trauma management.
• Special focus on pelvic and acetabular trauma with elective interests welcomed.
• Based at Coventry site with responsibility for trauma pathways and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead trauma consultant within one of four orthopaedic trauma teams; collaborate on complex cases.
• Provide mentorship within the team and joint operating for complex procedures.
• Participate in adult trauma rota and contribute to development of trauma pathways.
