Job summary

Schenk UK is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join the Planning team at the Eastham site. You will lead the planning of driver and vehicle resources to meet delivery schedules and oversee daily transport plans across nationwide tanker movements.

This role requires strong leadership, advanced planning skills and a proven ability to manage complex operational challenges while ensuring compliance with drivers’ hours and WTD.

Qualifications

• Proven senior planning experience in transport/logistics.
• Strong knowledge of UK geometry and tanker operations.
• Solid understanding of transport legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate planning of driver and vehicle resources to meet schedules.
• Oversee daily transport plans and communicate with drivers and customers.
• Optimise route planning and resource utilisation using TMS and Excel.
• Monitor KPIs (OTIF, mileage, utilisation) and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with WTD and drivers’ hours legislation.
