Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a Technical Lead, Transport Modelling to shape evidence for transport investment and growth across Oxfordshire. You will oversee the council's transport models, guide methodologies, and provide expert advice to planning, transport and policy teams.

Working with external consultants and regional partners, you will manage modelling programmes, data, and project delivery while mentoring Data Analysts and building modelling capability across the service.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in transport modelling, analysis and forecasting.
• Experience leading complex projects, managing consultancy contracts and modelling programmes.
• Ability to present complex evidence clearly to senior officers and external partners.
• Experience supervising or developing colleagues and building capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, management and improvement of Oxfordshire's transport modelling capability.
• Provide expert advice on modelling methodologies, data analysis and scenario testing.
• Manage modelling programmes, software, data and consultancy support.
• Collaborate with partners to provide modelling evidence for plans and funding bids.
• Mentor Data Analysts and build modelling capability across the service.
