Job summary

NHS Forth Valley is seeking a Band 6 Tissue Viability Nurse to provide expert clinical advice and education across acute and community settings. You will lead in wound management, pressure ulcer prevention, and skin integrity, delivering person-centred care and promoting best practice.

The role requires an NMC registered adult nurse with substantial post-registration wound care experience, strong leadership, and teaching skills.

Qualifications

Registered nurse with current NMC registration (Adult).
Significant post-registration experience in wound care or tissue viability.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Postgraduate qualification in tissue viability or willingness to work towards this is desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist tissue viability advice and support across the organisation.
Undertake holistic assessments and develop management plans for complex wounds.
Support implementation of local and national guidelines to promote high-quality care.
Deliver training and education sessions for multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in audit, research, and service development initiatives.
Work closely with other specialists, community services, and acute care teams to ensure continuity of care.
