Job summary

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join its thoracic surgery-focused team in Cambridge. You will work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient care.

The role is permanent and full-time with weekend and on-call duties, mentoring, and ongoing professional development in a renowned cardiothoracic setting.

Qualifications

• Band 6 level physiotherapy knowledge and experience
• Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff and students
• Experience with on-call and weekend working
• Demonstrated teamwork with MDT colleagues
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development

Responsibilities

• Undertake independent assessments of surgical patients with varying complexities
• Communicate and integrate treatment plans with health professionals
• Lead in-service training and supervision
• Participate in audits, service improvement and research
• Mentor students and junior staff and deputise for Team Lead physiotherapist
