Job summary

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge invites you to join our Physiotherapy team as a Band 5 Lead Rehabilitation Assistant Practitioner, delivering high-quality rehabilitation to patients with complex cardiothoracic conditions.

You will lead and support our team of Assistant Practitioners, manage a delegated caseload, assess and progress rehab, and contribute to safe discharge planning, induction, competency development and training for junior staff.

Qualifications

• Rehabilitation experience required.
• Leadership, supervision and development of support workers.
• Excellent communication skills.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Physiotherapy team as a Band 5 Lead Rehabilitation Assistant Practitioner. You will combine hands-on clinical practice with leadership, supporting our team of Assistant Practitioners to deliver high-quality rehabilitation to patients with a range of complex cardiothoracic conditions.

Working alongside our physiotherapists, you will manage a delegated caseload, assess and progress rehabilitation, promote independence and contribute to safe discharge planning. You will also play a key role in supporting, supervising and developing our support workers, including induction, competencies, appraisals and training.

We are looking for an organised, motivated and compassionate practitioner with rehabilitation experience, excellent communication skills and experience supporting junior staff or students.

This post is a full time 12 month fixed term contract, and may include weekend shifts.
