Job summary

Liverpool Women’s NHS FT is recruiting an experienced theatre team leader to specialise as a senior scrub practitioner in obstetric and gynaecological theatres. The site features a Davinci Robot and dedicated night teams, with a focus on training and leadership development to build future managers.

The role requires significant theatre experience, UK professional registration, and the ability to lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Qualification as ODP or RN with appropriate UK registration.
• Anaesthetic/Recovery or Scrub qualification in theatre.
• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Teaching and/or assessing qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Function as the lead practitioner for an operating theatre or a designated area.
• Be a role model and peer support for scrub practitioners.
• Assist in managing theatres to ensure excellence in patient care and staff development.
• Develop clinical protocols and SOPs.
• Lead the theatre team and coordinate, delegate and motivate staff.
