Job summary

Department for Work and Pensions (Debt Solutions) is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to shape testing across large scale digital transformation programmes. You will lead a community of around 25 Test and QA Engineers, defining testing strategies and driving quality across multidisciplinary teams.

The role covers Java/node.js microservices, Postgres/MongoDB, Azure, Gitlab CI/CD, PowerBI/Business Objects, with travel to digital hubs and upfront movement plans to Newcastle/Sheffield locations as

Qualifications

• Lead Criterion - Leading and proactively owning test/quality strategies across multiple teams and tech stacks and types such as Microservices, API’s, GUI’s, CoTs and message brokers.

Responsibilities

• Define a strategic testing/quality vision with stakeholders and drive adoption across teams.
• Identify and address skills gaps; support recruitment and talent retention in Debt Solutions.
• Promote risk- and context-based testing approaches across Agile and Waterfall projects.
