Job summary

Wimbledon College of Arts (UAL) seeks an experienced Technical Stage Manager for Live Performance to join the Technical Team. You will coordinate technical services across theatres, spaces and studios, providing leadership and ensuring safe operation of facilities.

You will oversee stage management, show calling, rigging and equipment maintenance, while mentoring staff and collaborating with students and colleagues to deliver ambitious projects.

Responsibilities

• Support all stages of live performance production including show calling, scenic construction and fabrication, rigging, operation of counterweight and hemp flying systems, and use of show control technologies.
• Oversee inspection, maintenance and statutory testing of specialist equipment to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Lead, mentor and develop a small technical team within the Live Performance Technical Team.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues, students and visiting practitioners to plan, deliver and improve technical services.
