We are currently looking to speak with experienced Technical Safety Engineers interested in taking on a Principal-level role based in London. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and bonus structure.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute a variety of Technical Safety, Risk and Loss Prevention, and RAM studies
Facilitate formal safety workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and LOPA
Carry out and deliver QRA, FERA, EERA, and other risk-based analyses
Contribute to risk-based design and ALARP justification processes
Provide Loss Prevention engineering expertise: Active/Passive Fire Protection, Blast Protection, F&G Systems, Hazardous Area Classification, and associated design deliverables
Advise on UK regulatory requirements including Safety Case and COMAH development
Support multidisciplinary teams with a creative, problem-solving mindset in a collaborative project environment
Qualifications and Experience:
Engineering Degree (Chemical or related discipline); Master’s preferred
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, preferably within consultancy or operator roles in upstream/downstream oil & gas
Proven leadership in safety engineering and technical integrity for major projects
Recognised certifications such as Functional Safety and HAZOP Leader (preferred)
Deep knowledge of relevant UK and international standards and safety legislation
Proficiency in scenario-based risk analysis, SECE identification, barrier management, and performance standards development
Familiarity with digital tools and approaches for safety and risk studies
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
