Scottish Government is seeking a Lead Technical Architect to join our Digital Architecture and Design division, shaping the platforms and technology foundations that support Scotland's digital future.

This senior role spans national platforms, shared services and major transformation programmes, collaborating with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver accessible, secure and scalable public digital services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading architecture teams and delivering complex public-sector digital platforms.
• Strong experience with cloud, security and enterprise integration.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and mentoring abilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and review processes for new digital solutions and services, ensuring Secure by Design principles are embedded.
• Create optimal technical designs aligned with user needs, system requirements and organisational objectives.
• Contribute to the department's technical strategy and roadmap across cybersecurity, cloud, data centre, storage, networking and infrastructure user experience.
• Present technology recommendations to senior leaders based on data and analysis of requirements.
