Job summary

Thales in Templecombe, UK, is seeking a Systems Architect to manage the Systems Engineering process to company and international standards. You will provide line management and technical leadership to Systems Engineers, translating requirements into designs and coordinating tests.

You will supervise staff, define system requirements, and drive quality metrics while developing tools to support the Systems Engineering function. UK Eyes Only security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Evidence of working in a Systems Engineering environment is required.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage projects within a defined process and tailor CHORUS2.

Responsibilities

• Converts requirements into designs and documents via analyses and trade studies.
• Lead development lifecycle activities and verify test specifications.
• Interface with clients to secure test approvals and host acceptance testing.
• Lead and coach staff, monitor progress and set priorities.
• Create system and interface requirement specifications and test documents.
• Develop tools and metrics to assure quality of system engineering processes.
