Job summary

GLL is looking for Lead Swimming Teachers at South Reading Leisure Centre. In this key role, you will develop swimming skills in both customers and your team while ensuring safety in lessons. You will be responsible for teaching and mentoring new teachers, delivering lessons, and providing a positive environment.

The role requires STA Certificate or Swim England Level 2 qualification, with an understanding of health and safety laws and Child Protection Policy. Join a company that is committed to serving local communities with over 400 facilities across the UK.

Qualifications

• STA Certificate level or Swim England Level 2 qualified.
• Ideally hold the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches.
• Understanding of Child Protection Policy.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming and professional poolside service.
• Ensure safety and control of pupils during lessons.
• Lead and motivate a team of teachers.
• Monitor pupil progression and attendance.
