Job Description:

We are seeking a Lead Sustainability Specialist to join Telent's team in Wakefield. The successful candidate will have previous relevant experience in sustainability roles and will be responsible for implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy, supporting business units in waste and carbon reduction, and ensuring compliance with ISO14001 and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions.

This is an agile role with up to 50% UK-wide travel.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability matters.
  • Support risk management by establishing environmental assurance and audit programs.
  • Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
  • Maintain performance data and produce carbon management reports for clients and internal use.
  • Review environmental aspects and impacts regularly, including climate change risks.
  • Support project teams in embedding sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout project lifecycles.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an environmental and sustainability role within relevant industries (Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, Construction).
  • Minimum qualification: PIEMA.
  • ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor certification.
