Senior Environmental Advisor - Warwickshire, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Lead Sustainability Specialist will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy. You will support business units in achieving waste reduction, carbon footprint goals, compliance with ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This role involves up to 50% UK-wide travel.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance to EHS teams and project leads on environmental and sustainability matters to ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met.
  • Develop and oversee environmental assurance programs, including audits and inspections, to manage risks effectively.
  • Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
  • Maintain and analyze performance data, producing reports on carbon management and sustainability metrics.
  • Conduct regular reviews of environmental impacts within business units, including climate change risk assessments.
  • Support project teams in embedding sustainable practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience in environmental and sustainability roles within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.

Key Requirements:
  • Minimum qualification: PIEMA
  • ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor certification
  • Proven experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice
