Job summary

SSE seeks a Site Supervisor to join our in-house construction team. Based across the South of England, you will lead capital projects replacing electrical assets from 11kV to 132kV at substations, ensuring safety and quality on site.

You will coordinate work programmes, supervise crews, review RAMS and ensure inductions and welfare are in place while maintaining strong supplier relationships to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience leading site teams on electrical substations.
• Solid knowledge of CDM Regulations and safety planning.
• Proven ability to supervise live substation works.
• Strong focus on health, safety and COSHH compliance.
• Formal qualifications in safety and electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate work programme and prepare Construction Phase Plans per CDM.
• Supervise site works, assign staff, act as main site contact.
• Review RAMS for contractors and sub-contractors.
• Ensure inductions, toolbox talks and safety documents are in place.
• Order minor materials, track orders and manage supplier invoices.
