Job summary

SSE’s SSEN Distribution is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our in-house construction team. You will lead capital projects replacing electrical assets at substations across the South of England, from 11kV to 132kV, ensuring high standards of health, safety and quality.

The role requires coordinating work programmes, supervising site teams, reviewing RAMS, inductions and toolbox talks, and ordering materials with cost control.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational electricity substations (11kV–132kV).
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and Principal Contractor duties.
• Supervising active site teams in live substation environments.
• Familiarity with health and safety regs including COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work programme, ensuring resources and CDM compliance.
• Supervise site works, set staff to work, act as main site contact.
• Review RAMS and ensure inductions and toolbox talks are carried out.
• Order materials and manage welfare provisions and supplier quotations.
