Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a major highways infrastructure project based in Cambridge on a 12-month contract, with a start date of 18th August.

The role requires proven site leadership, NEC contract knowledge, and relevant safety certifications. You will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate teams and subcontractors, and help manage RAMS and ITPs on a high-profile scheme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sub Agent on highways or major civil engineering projects.
• Good understanding of NEC contracts.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to lead site teams effectively.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site operations to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain programme.
• Preparing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and other project documentation.
• Monitoring quality and ensuring works meet project specifications.
• Supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager with planning, reporting and commercial awareness.
• Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
