Job summary

In Toto Ed in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Lead Student Support and DDSL to provide calm, consistent leadership for students with SEND, delivering targeted pastoral interventions and day-to-day behaviour support.

You will guide Teaching Assistants, foster strong relationships with families, and uphold safeguarding as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, using trauma-informed, relational approaches to help pupils stay connected to learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding and pastoral support
• Experience leading or coordinating Teaching Assistants
• Strong communication with families and multi-disciplinary teams

Job description

As Lead Student Support and DDSL, you’ll be a calm, consistent presence across the school, supporting students with SEND through targeted pastoral interventions and day-to-day behaviour support.

You’ll also guide the work of Teaching Assistants, build positive relationships with families and play a key role in safeguarding as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. Working from a trauma-informed and relational approach, you’ll help students navigate challenges, repair relationships and stay connected to learning.
