TFT Consultants, a leading independent building consultancy, seeks an Associate Director/Director Structural Engineer in London. You will lead complex structural projects, mentor junior engineers, and deliver innovative remediation solutions across residential, commercial and office sectors.

Qualifications

• Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE or MICE).
• Proven experience leading and managing complex structural projects.
• Broad structural engineering experience across new-build and refurbishment.
• Significant structural remediation experience (fire, flood, subsidence, damage).
• Strong understanding of structural analysis and engineering behaviour.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to growth.
• Mentoring and developing high-performing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex structural projects from instruction to completion.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Undertake structural assessments, investigations and technical reviews.
• Provide holistic structural engineering consultancy to commercial developers and institutional investors.
• Deliver innovative solutions for structural remediation following damage events.
• Oversee structural surveys, defect investigations and forensic assessments.
• Produce high-quality technical reports and engineering advice.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and graduates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Contribute to business development by promoting TFT's in-house expertise.
