Job summary

TED Recruitment is seeking a Principal/Associate Structural Engineer for our client in Leeds. You will lead structural design, oversee drawings and calculations, and mentor engineers while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires chartership or near-chartership, ~10 years' UK experience, and strong knowledge of UK codes. Driving licence and own vehicle are required to attend sites, some remote. Salary negotiable with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Chartered or almost chartered status is expected.
• Around ten years' experience as a Structural Engineer on UK building projects.
• Experience with UK codes and regulations.
• Experience with UK-based engineering consultants and projects.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle for site attendance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of drawings, calculations and specifications.
• Lead structural design for diverse projects (Hospitals, Offices, Schools, Residential, Industrial, Waste facilities).
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams for integrated design solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and liaise with clients.
