Job summary

Equal Resourcing is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Leeds to lead structural design through concept to construction. You will drive technical quality, manage programmes, and engage stakeholders across building and infrastructure schemes.

The role requires Chartered status where possible, UK driving licence, and proven delivery within a UK structural consultancy. Tekla/Tedds experience is advantageous for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Chartered MIStructE or MICE preferred; near-Chartered also considered.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Solid UK structural consultancy experience.
• Strong capability across main materials and delivery from concept to site.
• Experience with Tekla Structural Designer or Tedds highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and delivery, ensuring technical quality, programme delivery and commercial outcomes.
• Serve as main client contact with contractors and project partners.
• Perform and review analyses and designs in steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Produce and check reports, specifications, calculations and drawings.
• Conduct site inspections and support construction-stage queries.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs and manage project teams.
