Job summary

BG&E in London is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Buildings Team. You will work on design deliverables, liaise with construction teams, and help ensure buildability across projects.

The role requires Chartered status, strong structural design experience, and proficiency with BIM workflows (Revit, Tekla, Robot). You will mentor juniors and contribute to technical standards within the office.

Qualifications

• Degree in structural or civil engineering with professional registration.
• Proven experience in structural design for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience with BIM Level 2: Revit, Robot, Tekla are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop design deliverables: drawings, reports and specifications.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure buildability and value for money.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure consistency and quality of deliverables across projects.
• Provide design solutions that meet technical and project requirements.
• Prepare technical documents and assist with expressions of interest and tenders.
• Supervise junior engineers and technicians; review work and sign off design certificates.
• Support project delivery within time,budget and scope constraints.
• Assist in development of internal design standards and processes for continuous improvement.
