Job summary

Optimus Plus is seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer for Aberdeen or Glasgow to join on a full-time, on-going contract. The role requires a chartered engineer with strong leadership and detail-design experience in the energy sector.

You will act as focal point for engineering activities, oversee scope input, and coordinate with project teams. Opportunities to travel on/offshore and develop others are offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

A degree in a relevant subject and significant experience in detail design.
Chartered engineer with leadership experience.
Experience with AutoDesk products.
Willingness to travel to on/offshore sites.

Responsibilities

Focal Point for engineering activities
Identify the scope of work required
Input to project plans
Identify areas of concern during any project or study
Produce cost- effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
Ability to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore
