Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their established consultancy in Leeds City Centre. The successful candidate will lead structural design for residential and commercial projects, manage the project delivery, and collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have significant experience in UK structural design. This permanent position offers a competitive salary between £48,000 and £61,000.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in structural design of buildings in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards.
• Chartered status with ICE or IStructE, or actively working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for residential and commercial building projects.
• Prepare and review calculations, technical reports, and drawings.
• Manage project delivery from concept design through to construction.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and other consultants.
• Attend design meetings and undertake site visits when required.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
