Job summary

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust's Children and Young People’s Therapies (CYPT) Service invites applications for a Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to support CYP with Speech Sound Disorders and cleft lip/palate. The post is 0.6 WTE and based in the West Hertfordshire locality, with opportunities to lead on clinical development and service improvement.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree qualification.
• Evidence of post qualifying training and/or equivalent experience.
• Registered to practice with HCPC.
• Membership of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists or relevant CEN.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of clinical pathways for SSD and cleft lip/palate.
• Act as key contact for specialist cleft networks and MDT collaboration.
• Provide highly specialist assessment and intervention for CYP with SSD and cleft lip/palate.
• Develop skills of community therapists through training and supervision.
