Job summary

Hyve Solutions in the UK (Telford) is seeking a Lead Spares to manage the Spares team and ensure safe, efficient operations in a manufacturing/assembly environment.

You will lead assignments, monitor performance, and report on daily targets while coordinating with production and planning. The role emphasizes safety, process compliance (QMS, ISO 9001/14001), and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Spares team, arrange assignments, and delegate activities according to business priorities.
• Ensures Health and Safety requirements are always adhered to by audit and review.
• Monitors activities within area of remit to ensure that efficiency and service level agreements are met.
• Takes immediate appropriate action to rectify any shortfalls in levels of service.
• Seeks supervisory support as issues arise. Liaising with production/planning teams to resolve issues with orders.
• Provides reports/data on daily performance achievements against targets, as required.
• Supports new processes with supervision.
• Carry out inventory functions as required.
• Presents daily team brief at the start of each shift.
• Has the ability to perform all associated tasks within own area of responsibility.
• Supporting training of newer associates.
• Monitors the work area to ensure that all safety standards are upheld.
• Ensures materials are counted and in stock to meet company requirements.
• Carry out any reasonable request by the management team.
• Supports supervisor with operations in defining, documenting, and implementing processes to ensure compliance with the QMS, ISO 9001 and 14001 frameworks.
• Contributes to continuous improvements.
