Job summary

Buzzworks in Scotland is recruiting a Sous Chef to lead the kitchen in a fast‑paced, high‑volume venue. You will support the Head Chef, drive standards, performance and culture, and ensure dishes leave the pass to spec every time.

You’ll mentor and develop chefs at every level, manage GP, stock and labour, plan daily rosters and run service in the Head Chef’s absence. A long‑term career with one of Scotland’s forward‑thinking hospitality groups awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong focus on quality, standards and presentation.
• Proven leadership and ability to develop others.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen team to deliver exceptional standards during service.
• Drive food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Manage GP, stock control and labour performance.
• Plan rota and daily kitchen organisation.
• Mentor chefs at every level.
• Run service and briefings in Head Chef's absence.
• Maintain a safe, compliant kitchen.
• Build communication between BOH and FOH.
