Lead Solutions Architect - AWS Cloud Focused - Remote

Up to £100,000 p/a + performance-related bonuses + additional bonuses.

Requirements: Candidates must be Security Cleared or eligible for Security Clearance up to 'SC' level. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to London every few weeks to visit the client site.

• A leading UK-based organisation seeks a Lead Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex, cloud-native platforms. This senior role is suitable for candidates with at least 8 years of experience architecting large-scale distributed systems, especially on AWS.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing secure, scalable infrastructures using AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Java microservices. Responsibilities include shaping technical strategy, leading architecture design, and mentoring teams on cloud transformation projects.

Essential skills include: cloud security best practices, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and event-driven design.

The role involves ensuring architectural standards meet business and compliance requirements, optimizing performance, and managing cloud costs. Strong leadership, communication, and hands-on technical skills are vital.

Preferred qualifications: AWS certifications, experience with Azure or GCP, background in serverless technologies, compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and zero-trust security models.

Experience with DevOps tools and a DevOps focus is highly advantageous.
