Job summary

MDE Consultants Ltd. is seeking an experienced Lead Solar PV Installer to manage commercial rooftop Solar PV installations across nationwide projects, with a base location in the Midlands and travel across the UK.

You will oversee electrical system installation, cable containment, and draw interpretation while maintaining high safety and quality standards on diverse rooftop sites. A permanent role offering long-term development opportunities with a company vehicle and fuel card.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial rooftop Solar PV installation experience.
• Strong understanding of DC cabling, containment & electrical connections.
• Knowledge of roof types & PV mounting systems.
• Ability to read drawings & work independently.

Company van & fuel card, Permanent, Up to £50k, Location: Midlands with UK travel

Salary: Up to £50,000

Travel: Nationwide projects, staying away 3 to 5 days per week

We're recruiting for an experienced Lead Solar PV Installer to join an established UK contractor specialising in large commercial rooftop Solar PV installations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Installing electrical systems on commercial rooftop Solar PV projects.
• DC cable stringing, installation & testing.
• Installing cable containment, trays, trunking & inverter frameworks.
• Electrical connections & basic system commissioning.
• Reading technical drawings & setting out PV systems.
• Working with different roof types & mounting systems.
• Ensuring high standards of health, safety & installation quality.
