Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact on one of the world’s foremost energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include

• Leading solar PV designs, including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD.
• Performing computer simulations of solar PV system performance to optimize efficiency.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending technical improvements.

What we need from you

• 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Engineering and design skills with a proven track record in various PV schemes, including rooftop and ground mount.
• Familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
• Experience in detailed design aspects such as wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest systems.
• Proficiency with software tools like MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and others, with willingness to learn new tools.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation concerning HSSE, construction, and services installation.
• Training and understanding of CDM responsibilities.
