Job summary

MJ Quinn is seeking an experienced site supervisor for renewable energy projects based in the UK. The role focuses on supervising subcontractors, overseeing day-to-day on-site operations, and ensuring safe practices while meeting technical specifications and regulatory requirements.

You will read and interpret technical drawings, report progress to the Project Manager, and proactively identify risks and delays.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in site supervision, preferably in renewable energy or large-scale solar PV projects.
• Ground Mount Solar Farm experience essential
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and enforce safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of UK construction and renewable energy regulations
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and dedication to quality assurance
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on-site
• Strong understanding of HSQE principles

Responsibilities

• Supervise subcontractors and oversee daily site operations.
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with technical specs.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the Project Manager.
• Highlight risks, delays, and issues promptly.
• Act as on-site point of contact for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support client visits and provide progress updates.
• Monitor workmanship to meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with snagging and quality checks prior to project completion.
