Job summary

Nuffield Health Brentwood is seeking a Lead Software Engineer / Tech Lead to drive the re-platforming of our Fitness & Wellbeing technology ecosystem. You will shape technical direction, uphold engineering standards and deliver scalable solutions that support millions of member interactions.

The role spans Digital, Integrations, Salesforce and Data Engineering, with ownership of low-level designs and end-to-end design across platforms. Hybrid working and a competitive salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical design and delivery.
• Ability to define technical direction and produce high-quality low-level designs.
• Broad technical experience across mobile & web development, API integrations, data engineering and Salesforce ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments (Azure) using DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across workstreams including Digital, Integrations, Salesforce and Data Engineering.
• Own and define low-level solution designs, including integration with third-party systems.
• Act as the accountable lead for engineering quality, consistency and delivery pace across multiple workstreams.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Delivery Managers and third-party partners to align technical approaches and manage dependencies.
• Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise architecture and software engineering standards with end-to-end design across platforms.
• Provide technical guidance and constructive feedback to engineering teams, promoting best practice and high standards.
• Identify and mitigate cross-workstream technical risks.
• Support with service management transition, ensuring solutions are stable, maintainable and operationally ready.
