Job summary

Clear Street in London is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive automation of regulatory reporting. You will build scalable solutions that process large volumes of data from our data warehouse to generate accurate, auditable reports.

You will partner with Compliance, Finance and Treasury to translate regulatory obligations into clean designs, provide technical guidance, and lead hands-on development and reviews in a collaborative delivery culture.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of software design and development experience including CI/CD, source code control, testing, and quality management.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, database design, and Snowflake for scalable data solutions.
• Self-starter with urgency; eager to learn and explore new technologies to solve business problems.
• Strong communicator capable of interacting with non-technical stakeholders and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Automate regulatory reporting processes and reconciliations.
• Partner with Compliance, Finance and Treasury to translate obligations into scalable designs.
• Provide technical guidance, lead design and development, and perform code reviews to raise standards.
• Evolve technical standards and best practices within the team.
