Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a hybrid role based in Milton Keynes. You will lead technical direction, design scalable software, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Product and business stakeholders to deliver cloud‑native SaaS solutions.

The role reports to the Head of Engineering and offers a comprehensive benefits package, flexible working and a strong focus on engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and delivering high‑quality software.
• Strong commercial experience with C#, ASP.NET, Azure, React and REST APIs.
• Experience mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practice.
• Excellent communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering scalable, secure and maintainable software solutions.
• Leading architectural decisions that balance innovation, performance and long‑term sustainability.
• Driving engineering best practice, coding standards and software quality across development teams.
• Working closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Mentoring and coaching engineers to raise technical capability across the team.
• Championing modern software engineering practices, automation and continuous improvement.
• Exploring and adopting AI‑powered development tools where they add value.
• Supporting the delivery of cloud‑native SaaS products in a security‑focused environment.
