Lead Software Engineer Role

A major client is creating a new startup engineering capability in their Leeds offices and is looking for Lead Software Engineers with a background in software development using C# / .Net. You will lead teams that provide top-tier technical solutions across all three major Public Clouds to a broad range of Public Sector organizations.

Applicants must hold or be capable of obtaining UK National Security Vetting, which may require residency in the UK for at least the past 5 years and UK or dual UK nationality. Applications will not be considered if these requirements are not met.

Candidate Requirements

1. Strong background in Software Development, remaining hands-on with coding and scripting.
2. Experience in client/stakeholder management, team leadership, and organizational skills.
3. Subject matter expertise in full stack C#/.Net Core.
4. Hands-on experience with front-end technologies such as React or Angular.
5. Experience leading engineering teams building distributed, secure, large-scale systems.
6. Good understanding of design practices, system architecture, and conducting code reviews.
7. Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices best practices.
8. Extensive experience with CI/CD tools like Github Actions, CircleCI, etc.
9. Knowledge of infrastructure testing within pipelines for automated deployments.
10. Understanding of database systems and models.
