Job Description

Lead Software Engineers with a background in software development using C# / .Net are required by this major client, who is creating a new start-up engineering capability in their Leeds offices. You will lead some of their teams providing best-in-class technical solutions on all three major Public Clouds to a wide range of major Public Sector organizations.

The client requires applicants to hold or be capable of obtaining UK National Security Vetting, which may include residency requirements and UK nationality. Applications unable to meet these criteria will not be considered.

To secure this Lead Software Engineer role, you must have a Software Development background and remain technically hands-on with coding and scripting. You should also have strong experience in client/stakeholder management, team leadership, and organizational skills, along with the following technical expertise:

• Subject matter expertise in full stack C#/.Net Core
• Experience with front-end technologies such as React or Angular
• Experience leading engineering teams building distributed, secure, large-scale systems
• Understanding of design practices, system architecture, and conducting code reviews
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices best practices
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.)
• Experience integrating infrastructure testing into deployment pipelines
• Knowledge of database systems and models
