Job Title: Lead Software Engineer (C#/.Net) – Tax & Legal Technology

Base Location: Glasgow based (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)

What will you be doing?

You will lead a small team of developers and a test analyst on various projects for clients and internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities include architecture design and solution delivery, working closely with a Product Owner to prioritize tasks and ensure the delivery of world-class solutions.

What will you need to do it?

• Be a subject matter expert in full stack engineering with C#, ASP.Net Core 6+, REST APIs, and frameworks like React, Blazor, or Angular.
• Have experience leading engineering teams building distributed, secure, large-scale systems.
• Possess a solid understanding of system design, architecture, and code reviews.
• Experience building cloud applications, preferably with Azure, but also AWS or GCP.
• Know how to develop REST APIs and work with messaging systems.
• Experience defining data models and interacting with databases.
• Have developed user-facing web applications.

Skills we’d love to see / Amazing Extras:

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless platforms.
• Familiarity with GIT, Jenkins, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Generative AI and large models like Azure AI Services or ChatGPT.
• Knowledge of ORM tools like Entity Framework.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
