Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
• Experience maintaining public open-source repositories with releases and security standards.
• Experience leading AI-assisted development tools with code review and testing optimisations.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and security practices.
• Proficient across the Software Development Life Cycle and CI/CD processes.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services IT landscape and cloud-native tech.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and tackles complex technical problems beyond routine approaches.
• Develops secure production code and reviews code written by others.
• Maintains JPMorgan-payments GitHub organization, repo hygiene, licensing, CI, and releases.
• Evolves flagship public repositories and external SDKs for external developers.
• Drives enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices and validation standards.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture suitability.
• Represents the firm’s engineering externally via public repos, docs, and talks.
