We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Technology Engineering team at Greggs as a Lead Software Developer to drive innovative, greenfield products that enhance both digital and in-store experiences.

Working in an agile, cross-functional team, you'll help build a scalable, secure platform supporting key digital solutions like click & collect, retail systems, and digital order fulfilment—ensuring a seamless experience for millions of customers daily.

About the role

• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices
• Ensure operational reliability and troubleshoot production issues
• Lead the team towards high performance and self-organization
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends

About you

You’ll fit if you:

• Have expertise in areas like .NET (C#, RESTful API, Messaging, Azure), Flutter (Dart), TypeScript, etc.
• Understand DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and security best practices
• Have leadership experience in software teams
• Possess excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Are proficient with Git and understand microservice architecture
• Support an inclusive culture and are eager to develop your skills

It’s a plus if you have experience with Linux, cloud cost management, logging, and monitoring tools.
