Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking an experienced practitioner/manager to join the Justice Team in Shotts Prison. You will lead the Restorative Justice service, deliver high-quality statutory duties, and manage social work staff across the local authority area.

You will require significant post-qualifying social work experience, a CQSW/DipSW or equivalent, SSSC registration, PVG clearance, and NPPV Level 2. This role offers development opportunities and a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or CQSW/DipSW with significant post-qualifying experience.
• Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• Experience leading a team and delivering Restorative Justice services.
• Experience in risk assessment and risk management frameworks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• PVG Scheme membership and NPPV Level 2 clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality statutory Restorative Justice service and drive development.
• Line manage a team of Social Workers and support staff across North Lanarkshire.
• Provide professional leadership to maintain high performance in service delivery.
• Lead inter-agency collaboration with Education & Families and Adult Social Work.
