Job summary

Leaving Care Solutions Limited is seeking a Principal Social Worker for the Integrated Services Programme in London. You will lead service development, work with the Registered Manager and Foster Parents, and ensure high standards of care for children and young people.

You will supervise staff, oversee regulatory compliance, and build partnerships across the Polaris Community to support placement planning, safeguarding, and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
• Post-qualifying and supervisory experience as a social worker are required.
• Experience in fostering and children and families social work is desirable.
• Ability to challenge effectively and engage others; strong teamwork and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to the Registered Manager overseeing staff and services.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in daily operations.
• Supervise staff and conduct performance appraisals.
• Work with Foster Parents to utilise their expertise for better placement outcomes.
• Maintain safeguarding and high-quality care for children and young people.
• Develop relationships with external partners to improve service delivery.
