Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Lead Social Worker to join the team at St Mary's Hospital in Warrington. You will manage a caseload of adults with mental health conditions, lead safeguarding efforts, and supervise junior staff within a multidisciplinary setting.

With regional support and access to ongoing training, you will participate in CPA processes, Mental Health Tribunals and capacity decisions, ensuring high standards of care and recovery for service users.

Qualifications

• A Social Work qualification Registration with Social Work England.
• Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation
• Have at least 3-4 years' experience of working in a similar environment

Responsibilities

• Leading the social work team and managing a caseload of adults with mental health needs.
• Conducting assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals and Managers Hearings.
• Supervising junior staff and deputising for the Lead social worker in meetings.
• Promoting adult safeguarding and supporting care plan delivery with the multidisciplinary team.
• Liaising with external agencies to fulfil statutory duties (MAPPA, Local Authority, CMHT, Police, Probation).
• Supporting carers and families of detained patients.

Job DescriptionAre you a Lead Social Worker looking to join a company that values and recognises you? If so, join the team at St Mary's Hospital in Warrington, specialised services for people with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), progressive neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Deaf Mental Health problems.Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will manage and support a caseload of up to service users with mental health conditions. You will be responsible for assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals, Managers Hearings and will be requested to supervise junior staff members.

As a manager of the team, you will lead and promote adult safeguarding and will empower recovery to encourage service users to engage in their care plans and achieve their goals.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and will have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth.

As a Social Worker you will be:

• Supporting the social work team to take the lead on adult safeguarding.
• Deputising for Lead social worker in quality assurance meetings.
• Supporting the social work team to deliver Safeguarding induction and update training across the Hospital.
• Leading the multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions.
• Delivering quality supervision and appraisal to junior and senior social workers in the Team.
• Liaising with external agencies to enable them to fulfil their statutory duties, for example: MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, CMHT, FIND, FOLS, Police and Probation.
