Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is recruiting Social Workers and Senior Practitioners for the Children’s Assessment Service (North). You will undertake child and family assessments to identify the right help at the right time, while working with multi-agency partners under the Family Saf safeguarding Model.

You must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, have ASYE (or equivalent), and be able to travel across the North of the county.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration and ASYE (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children and families in a statutory setting.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge, policy and procedures.
• Ability to travel across the North of the county to visit children and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive child and family assessments in line with safeguarding requirements.
• Lead Section 47 child protection investigations where necessary with management support.
• Work in a duty rotation to assess referrals and support families with partners.
