Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust seeks a HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist to join the Community Learning Disability Team. You will assess, plan and deliver care, supervise pre-registration students and work collaboratively with other health and social care professionals.

You will lead a caseload, coordinate team activities and ensure high-quality, person-centred services within a community setting. Commitment to standards and patient safety is essential.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an SLT is required.
• Ability to assess, plan and deliver Speech and Language Therapy care.
• Supervise pre-registration students and support peers.

Responsibilities

• Take lead role for clinical area, overseeing the whole caseload and providing clinical support.
• Assess, develop and implement SLT treatment for adults with learning disabilities and communication/eating/swallowing difficulties.
• Organise and prioritise own and team workload and day-to-day allocation of work.
• Maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
• Contribute to risk management and incident reporting.
• Work as part of an integrated community learning disability team and adhere to Trust protocols.
