Summary:
We have a unique opportunity to join a talented multi-disciplined team. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has a passion for engineering and technology. You should have mechanical/hydraulic/electrical (preferred) experience along with onsite industry exposure and experience of leading a small team. Experience with pumps and understanding the fundamentals of pumping is essential. You will need to be competent with IT, especially data collation for sharing with the wider team.

The role requires frequent UK travel, and as you progress, international travel for specialist projects worldwide.

This role suits someone with experience in water/industrial industries, basic pumping system knowledge, a Level 3 qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering, and the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial.

The main focus involves installing specialist hydraulic monitoring and testing equipment, undertaking measurement campaigns, deploying hardware and software, and supporting partners and clients. Knowledge of Edge devices/communication devices is advantageous.

Our core technology involves precision measurement of temperature, pressure, and power to assess hydraulic performance, informing clients for operational improvements.

We develop hardware and software platforms, including cloud and on-premise deployment, with integration capabilities for SCADA and other systems. We utilize wireless IoT solutions with 4G connectivity and partner with system integrators for seamless integration.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Travel frequently within the UK and internationally for site work
  • Install specialist equipment and perform maintenance at our Stoke facility
  • Work independently from home when not onsite
  • Flexible working hours based on weekly workload
  • Lead a small team of 2-3 members
  • Coordinate with technical teams for projects
  • Maintain professionalism and respect with clients and colleagues
  • Work autonomously, following health and safety protocols
  • Conduct site surveys and manage onsite teams
  • Ensure high standards across projects in a dynamic environment

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in hydraulic, mechanical, process, or similar engineering fields
  • Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Understanding of water/pumping industry technologies
  • Proven success in relevant roles with tangible outputs
  • IT skills in MS365, especially Excel (full training provided)
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems (training provided)
  • Ability to learn new products and disciplines quickly
  • Valid driving license
  • Knowledge of edge devices and communication protocols
  • Electronics knowledge is a plus
