Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment is seeking a Simulator Engineer, Shift Lead for a leading aviation training and flight simulation organisation in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. The role combines hands-on simulator engineering with shift leadership in a 24/7 operation, supporting maintenance, crew communication and issue resolution.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Full Flight Simulators, fault finding and hardware/software systems, and can train junior technicians

Competenze

• Detailed fault-finding and corrective maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical motion systems.
• Knowledge of simulator hardware and visual systems.
• Understanding of simulator software and maintenance procedures.
• Leadership experience and ability to train junior technicians.

Mansioni

• Carry out preventative and routine maintenance on Full Flight Simulators.
• Lead diagnostics and repair across simulator systems during shifts.
• Provide guidance and training to junior technicians.
• Act as primary shift lead and coordinate team during incidents.
• Communicate with flight crews and instructor pilots.
• Record maintenance activities in the maintenance system.
• Review and update maintenance procedures with the centre manager.
• Perform visual alignments, calibrations and equipment inspections.
• Support logistics including parts receipt, testing and validation.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety procedures.
