Job summary

Network Rail’s Southern Region is seeking a proactive Team Leader for Signalling Maintenance, based at Wimbledon & Waterloo. You will lead a safety-focused team responsible for inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal of signalling assets, ensuring work is delivered to high standards and in line with safety requirements.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong safety arrangements, and clear communication with staff and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, implementing, and managing safe systems of work to ensure compliance.
• Proven leadership with ability to motivate and embed a safety culture.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate and influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire your team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality work.
• Establish and maintain robust safety arrangements for staff and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safe systems of work, standards and procedures.
• Proactively monitor and check the quality of work, ensuring assets meet standards.
• Compile accurate reports and maintain essential records.
