Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer in the UK to lead the delivery of drive and control system projects and to own the functional safety lifecycle and technical compliance.

You will supervise and mentor engineers, review design documentation and collaborate with Project Managers on programme, cost and risk, while producing and approving electrical and controls design docs and supporting FAT/SAT activities.

Qualifications

• BEng, BSE or Level 6 apprenticeship in electrical/electronic engineering.
• At least 4 years in a similar controls/automation role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical control systems and drives; functional safety awareness.
• Experience leading engineers and reviewing technical work.
• Good communication and stakeholder management.
• Proactive and hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Technical Construction File.
